NTDA

Since 1930 the National Tyre Distributors Association (NTDA) has championed and promoted the interests of the tyre retailer. That role remains unchanged to this day, although the Association has evolved significantly since those earliest days of motorised transport.

Every sector of business needs strong professional representation and the NTDA fulfils this responsibility on behalf of independent tyre and fast fit retailers throughout the UK. Members range from the largest national groups to the smallest family run business.

Membership of the NTDA provides access to a wide range of practical commercial services as well as representation at the highest levels of government on issues concerning the tyre, fast fit and wider automotive aftermarket.

Having the right to display the distinctive "kneeling man" logo also demonstrates that a business operates to the highest professional standards. It's a sign of reassurance recognised equally by trade customers through to the private motorist.

The NTDA is a democratically constituted trade association run by a full time directorate in Aylesbury, Bucks. It exists solely for the benefit of its members, and has a number of prime objectives which guide its strategic direction and activities: 

• to actively promote, develop, support and protect members' professional and commercial interests;

• to raise the status and profile of the retail sector among customer and related industry groups;

• provide access to political decision makers and regulators in the UK and EU on all matters of relevance to the tyre and fast fit trade;

• to champion the importance of responsible tyre safety among all road users. Although it is a national organisation the NTDA also operates on a regional basis. There are nine distinct Regions, each with its own officers, committee, business and social programmes. As a prospective member your nearest Region would be pleased to speak to you about the local aspects of becoming involved in the NTDA.
